Interactive Web Designer – HTML, Flash, CSS (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks) London W1 £30,000 Plus Pension Scheme
Our client is a world leader in the exciting, growth business of international education. With more than 40 English language teaching locations in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, they are the first choice English language provider for thousands of students from over 100 countries. They are also a subsidiary of the Washington Post Company. An opportunity has now arisen for an Interactive Web Designer to join their team.
This role would suit an experienced Designer with website, banner and email design skills, looking to further develop their career with a global name.
As an Interactive Web Designer you will be responsible for creating compelling and usable graphic designs form brief, as well as website designs. The company is planning to carry out multi-variant testing on the site, and as such, your designs must reflect your ability to understand user behaviour – proposing ideas accordingly.
Your duties will include:
- creating banner, email and marketing designs - producing highly engaging concept visuals to excite the web target audience - ensuring the company’s style guide is adhered to - liaising with the eMarketing Manager to execute web marketing initiatives

Skills & Achievements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- commercial web design experience, including layout, banner and email design skills - good HTML, Flash and CSS skills - experience of using Illustrator or Photoshop - experience of using Dreamweaver or Fireworks
Additionally, as an Interactive Web Designer you’ll need to demonstrate creative flair, a keen eye for design and the ability to design engaging websites. Great communication skills are also important, as is the ability to work in a team environment.
Whilst not essential, any of the following would be beneficial to your application: an Art, Graphic Design or Media based degree (or equivalent); and experience of building graphics designs for mobile applications.
